Scheduled Presentation
Edward East presented by Robert St-Louis
My talk is on Edward East (1602-1695), the most prolific and long-lived English watch and clockmaker of the 17th century, who preceded Tompion, Quare, Graham, and many others.
For the past decade, I have been interested in horological literature and tools, as well as acquiring, preserving, studying and documenting a few antique clocks and watches, primarily from eighteenth-century France and England. I have published several articles in the NAWCC Bulletin and Antiquarian Horology (the journal of the London-based Antiquarian Horological Society). Many of my writings, published or not, are free of charge on www.timetales.ca. I have given several presentations to the OVWCCC and one to the Toronto Chapter in 2024.
Mart and Annual Auction
There will be the usual mart where members offer items for sale, and we will host our annual auction by auctioneer Daniel Bourgogne
